LAST weekend, the National Basketball League (NBL) wrapped up proceedings for the 2023\/24 regular season, with the top six teams getting set for some postseason action in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Melbourne United<\/a> and the Perth Wildcats<\/a> locked in the top two spots and will have some time off prior to the semi-finals starting. The Tasmania JackJumpers<\/a> will host the Illawarra Hawks<\/a> in the first play-in game, which will come with not only a chance for the winner to book a matchup with the Wildcats, but also a double-chance for the losing side, who will take on the winner of the elimination matchup between the New Zealand Breakers<\/a> and the Sydney Kings<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, it is season over for the remaining four sides, all of whom failed to sneak into the play-in despite some chances in the final weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It has been one of the most entertaining seasons in NBL history, with the race for the finals coming down to the last round, and all 10 teams were a mathematical chance of making the postseason up until the penultimate round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now that the season has concluded, Rookie Me Central <\/em>will begin a Team Wrap series, taking a look at all 10 teams as each’s season finishes in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These articles will take a look at team performances, how the coach fared, MVP, most promising player and where the team goes from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Given they finished last in the standings, the first cab off the rank will be the SEM Phoenix<\/a>, with their review set to drop tomorrow, so stay tuned for the first article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
