ROUND 9 action in the National Basketball League (NBL) continues tonight following the New Zealand Breakers tearing apart the Brisbane Bullets 113-84, with the Tasmania JackJumpers<\/a> hosting the Adelaide 36ers<\/a> at MyState Bank Arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the incredible performances from reigning MVP Bryce Cotton<\/a> this season, Adelaide currently sit as the third spot right beneath the SEM Phoenix<\/a>. However, a win tonight will put them at the second spot below the dominant Melbourne United<\/a>, who have also suffered a difficult last three games, winning one of the three. Adelaide have a roster that is built to win a championship, stacked with talented players such as Isaac Humphries<\/a>, Flynn Cameron<\/a>, Dejan Vasiljevic<\/a> and Zylan Cheatham<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the squad they have built, there\u2019s no reason why they can\u2019t be in the same talks as Melbourne United to be championship contenders, especially with the best player in the league leading the pack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JackJumpers have had an up and down season so far, mostly due to injuries. They currently sit at the sixth spot with a 5-7 record. They have seen multiple players play their part, and it is their new signing Bryce Hamilton<\/strong>, who is looking like one of the best players in the league so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some bad form over the past batch of outings has seen the JackJumpers lose their last four games, and tonight they will be desperate to defend the home court and finally get a long awaited win on the board. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately the losses of key players in Will Magnay<\/a>, Anthony Drmic<\/a> and their other import David Johnson<\/strong>, who looked very strong in his two games with averages of 17 points and five rebounds, has been the dealbreaker and the reason for this bad form. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamilton has been able to turn it up a notch, recording a 36-point, eight-rebound and five-assist game against the SEM Phoenix, which was almost enough to secure the win, but in the end lost 103-102. In tonight\u2019s game, expect Hamilton to be aggressive right from the start, as with his damaged squad the win will come down to his performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 36ers are coming off a tough loss to the Perth Wildcats, and will seek out a win tonight to move up a spot. Both clubs will be eager to get a win tonight as the opposing teams are keen to bounce back from their Round 8 losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
