THE ACTION continues tonight in the National Basketball League (NBL) for Round 10 of the 2025\/26 season, as the SEM Phoenix<\/a> travel north to take on an undermanned Brisbane Bullets<\/a> at Brisbane Entertainment Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After last night’s Ignite Cup clash which saw the Adelaide 36ers<\/a> defeat the Illawarra Hawks<\/a>, the hoops roll on and move to Queensland, where the Bullets will be looking to cause an upset against a South East Melbourne side that is firing on both ends of the floor so far this season, emerging as a sneaky contender in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Phoenix will undoubtedly enter this match as favourites, but the hosting side will be eager to upset the apple cart despite missing some key cogs, and the Bullets have been able to do exactly that in recent years, so it is hard to rule anything out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bullets are significantly undermanned coming into the clash, with superstar import Casey Prather<\/a> sidelined for the rest of the year, former MVP Jaylen Adams<\/a> departing the team, and imports Javon Freeman-Liberty <\/strong>– who is back for his second stint of the season – and Terry Taylor <\/strong>not with the team just yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a tall order for the Bullets tonight, especially given their poor form at home to start the season, winning just one of their first six games on their own court. However, they have produced backs-against-the-wall wins over the past couple of seasons, and the move to part ways with Adams could open up opportunities for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be a huge game for big man Tyrell Harrison<\/a>, who could play a lone hand on the offensive front in the absence of some big-name teammates. Harrison has been in strong form over the past month, and is more than capable of tearing a game open in the paint on any given night, so with the pressure on, look for him to play a key role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Phoenix have been one of the best teams in the NBL over the first nine rounds of the season, and are doing it both offensively and defensively. They are the highest scoring team in the competition at 97.4 points per game, while only conceding just 89 points a match down the other end, showing they are getting it done on both sides of the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, South East Melbourne has struggled with putting it together over four quarters, which has prevented the team from recording big wins. Against a Bullets side lacking some firepower, this is the perfect opportunity to put the opposition to the sword and get a percentage-boosting win, which would elevate them into the top rung of contenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Phoenix have plenty of contributors on their team, but none are more productive than Nathan Sobey<\/a>, who is still the most dangerous player on that roster with ball in hand. The veteran guard is capable of scoring both inside and outside, and is often the team’s go-to man when they need a basket, so expect him to be heavily involved tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
