Keilor&#8217;s <strong>Jaz Salon<\/strong> (15 points) and <strong>Taylah Babic<\/strong> (14) were the two dominant scorers, while <strong>Myah Healey<\/strong> did her bit for the losing side, sinking 14. Diamond Valley Eagles swooped in to steal top spot in the pool after defeating top four side, Ballarat Rush 58-42. Both teams shared the points around as <strong>Sophie Burrows<\/strong> (16 points) and <strong>Eleanor Bollands<\/strong> (11) were the prominent shooters for the home team, while <strong>Milly Sharp<\/strong> managed 11 in the defeat.<\/p>\n<p>The upset of the round came with Sunbury Jets finally getting a win on the board, knocking off Bellarine Storm by six points. <strong>Maddison Ford<\/strong> sank 13 points, while <strong>Scarlett Orritt<\/strong> and <strong>Adrienne Cameron<\/strong> (10 points each) both reached double figures. <strong>Charlotte Murray<\/strong> (14 points) and <strong>Summer Field<\/strong> (13) were the top scorers for the Storm. In other results, Kilsyth Cobras easily accounted for Ringwood Hawks by 23 points as <strong>Molly Williams<\/strong> finished with 20, while Waverley Falcons defeated Hawthorn Magic by 10. <strong>Maddie Pinchbeck<\/strong> (15 points) and <strong>Jasmine Connell<\/strong> (14) were the two key scorers in the Falcons&#8217; win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashe Pool:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Waverley Falcons 44 defeated Hawthorn Magic 34<br \/>\nKilsyth Cobras 53 defeated Ringwood Hawks 30<br \/>\nDandenong Rangers 33 defeated by Keilor Thunder 40<br \/>\nDiamond Valley Eagles 58 defeated Ballarat Rush 42<br \/>\nSunbury Jets 55 defeated Bellarine Storm 49<\/p>\n<p>In the Watson Pool, Knox Raiders sank to their second consecutive loss as Sandringham Sabres moved into third spot just percentage behind the Raiders. <strong>Maya Dear<\/strong> was terrific with 20 points, while <strong>Jaida Reid<\/strong> stood tall in defeat with 16 points for the Raiders. Nunawading Spectres also enjoyed a win, knocking off Bendigo Braves 35-25, keeping Bendigo to just one point in the second term. <strong>Olivia Morris<\/strong> scored 15 points and was the standout shooter on the court. Meanwhile the closest game of the round was Melbourne Tigers&#8217; win over Eltham Wildcats, 44-43. <strong>Leila Davis<\/strong> shot 14 points in the win, while <strong>Ashley Vee Mrmacovski<\/strong> tried her best with 10 points in the narrow loss.<\/p>\n<p>In other results, Altona Gators won their second consecutive game, defeating Southern Peninsula Sharks by 15 points despite scoring just two points in the second quarter. <strong>Angelina Vi<\/strong> shot 23 points for the Gators in an unbelievable effort, while <strong>Cassie Dodemaide<\/strong> sank 10. For the Sharks, <strong>Bella Breen<\/strong> finished with 15. Bulleen Boomers also remained undefeated in the competition, storming to a 50-30 win over Frankston Blues. <strong>Rebecca Horvat<\/strong> (11 points) and <strong>Aleisha Cadee<\/strong> (10) were prominent on the scoring end for the Boomers, while <strong>Mikayla Williamson<\/strong> (10) was the best for Frankston.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watson Pool:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bendigo Braves 25 defeated by Nunawading Spectres 35<br \/>\nSandringham Sabres 55 defeated Knox Raiders 51<br \/>\nAltona Gators 54 defeated Southern Peninsula Sharks 39<br \/>\nMelbourne Tigers 44 defeated Eltham Wildcats 43<br \/>\nBulleen Boomers 50 defeated Frankston Blues 30<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WITH the first break done and dusted, teams in the Melbourne United Victorian Junior Basketball League (MUVJBL) Under 16 Girls competition got back into it with some big upsets and memorable wins.
