The definition of a highlight reel finisher, Edson Barboza has long been one of the most damaging strikers in the UFC. Spinning wheel kick KO's, the UFC's first ever leg kick TKO victory and punishing body blow TKO's mean the Brazilian can win in any way on the feet, and it's that kind of action that makes Barboza such a huge draw. Despite being a perennial top-fiver, the muay thai practitioner has not yet fought for UFC gold, but has only fought the best across almost a decade-long promotional career. While the wins have been spectacular, Barboza is currently in somewhat of a lull having been defeated in four of his last five bouts; including a razor thin split decision loss to Paul Felder, and a doctor stoppage loss to Kevin Lee in 2018 after rocking the American who came in over weight. With a seemingly endless lineup of contenders at 155lbs, Barboza has been a useful measuring stick of late, but will hope to put the focus back on his talents with a return to the winners list.
