Alexander Hernandez has enjoyed a steep rise in his MMA career, entering the big stage as a short notice replacement and KO'ing UFC lightweight mainstay Beneil Dariush in just 75 seconds. It is rare that a fighter with just four UFC fights under their belt finds themselves embedded in the rankings - especially in such a stacked division - but the 27-year-old has competed with competition befitting of his number 14 spot. A loss to Donald Cerrone curtailed his undefeated UFC run, but 'The Great' bounced back with a tight decision win over Francisco Trinaldo to get back on track. Hernandez could be anything and given the level of fighters he has already come up against, may well be a future title contender with his combination of heavy hands and pace-pushing wrestling.
