Panthers look to steady against hungry Blues

DANDENONG Panthers host Carlton Blues in what should be a blockbuster Round 5 clash in the Victorian Women’s Premier 1st competition. Both sides have huge potential, as we cast our eyes across the four matches to take place this weekend.

Plenty Valley vs. Box Hill
Yarrambat War Memorial Park

Plenty Valley are coming into this clash having a season they’d rather forget. They remain winless to date and have been comfortably beaten in each of their previous matches.

Box Hill on the other hand are having a bit of an up and down season and will be coming into the match looking to find a bit of consistency.

These two sides met twice last season. On both occasions it was the Mustangs who were victorious, so the Bats will be desperately hoping to avoid making it three on the trot for Box Hill.

Melbourne v Prahran
Albert Ground

Melbourne come into this game in quite a rich vein of form, and are the team to beat even this early in the season.

Prahran on the other hand finally got a win on the board last weekend and will be looking to continue that momentum and do something no other side has been able to do yet this season.

Recent history says it will be another win to the Dees this weekend, but Prahran will be hoping to defy that history.

Ringwood v Essendon Maribyrnong Park
Russell Lucas Oval

Ringwood are coming off a massive high last weekend after ending Carlton’s undefeated start to the season.

The Bombers on the other hand are looking to bounce back after a loss to the Mustangs last weekend.

The ledger of last season’s matches between the two sides sits at one all. Who will win this weekend and tip the ledger in their favour?

Dandenong v Carlton
Shepley Oval

Carlton will be looking to bounce back quickly this weekend after suffering their first loss of the season last weekend.

Dandenong on the other hand will be looking to get some momentum back into their premiership defence after an up and down start to the season.

They each beat each other once last season, so who will win this weekend?
