Last chance to get a win over the board in 2021
THIS weekend sees the last round of Women’s Premier 1sts action before the Christmas break. With the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) action starting this weekend, most sides will be missing their best players after only just getting them back last weekend.
Box Hill v Dandenong
Sunday at 11am
Box Hill City Oval
Although they have been a little bit inconsistent at times, Box Hill are sitting pretty in second place on the ladder with only one loss for the year.
Dandenong on the other hand will certainly be looking to get their premiership defence a bit more on track this week and get their first win on the board.
These two sides are yet to play each other this season, but played each other twice last season. On both occasions, it was Dandenong who got the victory, so Box Hill will certainly be hoping history does not repeat itself again this weekend.
Prahran v Ringwood
Sunday at 11am
Toorak Park
Both of these sides are coming off a loss last weekend, with Ringwood narrowly losing to EMP and Prahran losing to Melbourne.
Ringwood are sitting smack bang in the middle of the table in fourth at the moment, while Prahran still sit with one win to their name so far this season.
These two sides are yet to play each other this season, but played each other twice last season. Both times it was the Rams who were victorious.
Essendon Maribyrnong Park v Melbourne
Sunday at 11am
Aberfeldie Park
Essendon Maribyrnong Park have certainly got their hands full this week.
Melbourne are the team to beat this season, and have been dominant all season. The Bombers will certainly take a lot of confidence out of last week’s narrow win over Ringwood.
These two sides are yet to play each other this season, but played each other twice last season. The ledger of those matches is one all, after Melbourne got the first win before EMP won the second match. Which way will this match go? Stay tuned to find out.
Carlton v Plenty Valley
Sunday at 11am
Princes Park #1
Carlton have had a good start to the season so far, and are coming off a win against the reigning premiers Dandenong.
Plenty Valley on the other hand have had a season to forget so far, and are still searching for their first win of the season.
These two sides are yet to play each other this season, but played each other twice last season. Both sides each one a match against each other last season, so which way will this match go? Stay tuned to find out.
