LAST weekend saw a double header of T20 matches for everyone across both the second and third eleven competitions. In part one of this wrap up, we take a look at how everyone went in their first match of the double header.

Box Hill                             

2^nd XI
A tight bowling performance saw Box Hill able to restrict Plenty Valley to only 5/66 off their 20 overs. Ashling O’Farrell took 2/11 off her four overs, while Emma Stilve, Ellen Bradley and Vaishnavi Munukutla each took one. Box Hill didnot even need ten overs with the bat to be able to reach the target.

3^rd XI    
A tight bowling performance from Box Hill saw Plenty Valley restricted to only 2/72 off their 18 overs. Box Hill only needed nine overs to reach the target.

Carlton

2^nd XI
Carlton batted first against Melbourne, and were able to make 6/117 off 20 overs. In response, they almost restricted the Dees enough, but they were able to reach the target with an over spare. Fiona Jenkinson top scored for Carlton with 28.

3^rd XI    
After Carlton made 4/68 off their 12 overs, Melbourne only needed half as many overs to reach the target.

Dandenong

2^nd XI
Dandenong restricted Geelong to 141 off their 20 overs, off the back of a two wicket haul from Abby Wrigglesworth. In reply, a 60 from Laura Croft was not enough as Dandenong only made 7/142. 

3^rd XI    

Dandenong bowled first against Geelong, and restricted Geelong to 5/59 off their 16 overs. In reply, Dandenong only needed just over 10 overs to reach the target.

Essendon Maribyrnong Park

2^nd XI
EMP restricted the Rams to 4/103 off 16 overs, but after their own innings was reduced down to 14 overs, they could only muster 4/60.

3^rd XI    

Ringwood was able to restrict EMP to 6/93 off their 16 overs, before running overs and only being able to make 5/79. For the Bombers, it was Amy Hoang who was the leading wicket taker with two.

Geelong

2^nd XI
Geelong batted first against Dandenong, and made a competitive 141 off their 20 overs. Maddie Green top scored with 38. In reply, Dandenong could only make 7/142. Chantal Mason and Shanaye Alexander both took two wickets for the Cats.

3^rd XI    

Geelong batted first against Dandenong, and made 5/59 off their 16 overs. In reply, Dandenong only needed just over 10 overs to reach the target.

Melbourne

2^nd XI
Melbourne bowled first, and restricted them to 6/117. In response, they took their time but were able to reach the target with an over spare.

Felicity Leighton was a star with the ball, taking three wickets, while Sahana Tarini took two. Breannon Sutton was the star with the bat, making 82 not out.

3^rd XI    
After Carlton made 4/68 off their 12 overs, Melbourne only needed half as many overs to reach the target. For the Dees, Limansa Thilakarathna was the best of the bowlers with two wickets.

Plenty Valley

2^nd XI
Plenty Valley batted first against Box Hill, but could only make 5/66 off their 20 overs. Box Hill did not even need 10 overs to be able to reach the target. Anusha Joshi was the only one to make double figures with the bat for the Bats, but extras outscored her.

3^rd XI

A tight bowling performance from Box Hill saw Plenty Valley restricted to only 2/72 off their 18 overs. Box Hill only needed nine overs to reach the target.

Prahran

Both of Prahran’s sides had the bye up first last weekend.

Ringwood

2^nd XI

Ringwood were restricted to 4/103 off 16 overs, but with a great bowling performance were able to keep EMP to only 4/60 off their 14 overs. Breannan Harris was the best bowler for the Rams with two wickets, while Alexandra Sheedy top scored with 34 not out.

3^rd XI    

Ringwood were able to restrict EMP to 6/93 off their 16 overs, before running overs and only being able to make 5/79. For the Rams, Mikayla Lewis-Simmonds and Jordyn Allen both took two wickets.
