Stats Zone: WBBL10 Wrap

NOW THAT the WBBL season has finished for another year, let us take a look at who topped the stats sheets for WBBL10.

BATTING

The interesting thing about the way the batting stats looked at the conclusion of WBBL10 is that the most runs list looks very different to the highest strike rates list.

Firstly, to the highest run totals list.

Ellyse Perry topped that tally, scoring 424 runs across the season at an average of 53, with a high score of 86 and having been not out twice.

Second on the list is Lizelle Lee, who had some huge innings this season. She finished the year with 399 runs with a top score of 150 not out, but only at an average of 39.9.

Rounding out the top five is Beth Mooney (386 runs with a high score of 97), Phoebe Litchfield (342 runs with a high score of 51 runs) and Georgia Voll (330 runs with a high score of 97 not out).

Now moving across to the highest strike rate tally, and it is Rhys McKenna who tops this list, finishing the season with a strike rate of 181.57.

Amanda-Jade Wellington is second, just behind McKenna with a strike rate of 180.95. The rest of the top five is Laura Harris (strike rate of 169.14), Lee (strike rate of 155.85) and Sophie Molineux (strike rate of 155.55).

BOWLING

Much like the two previously mentioned batting lists, the top five in the most wickets tally and the best economy rates tally for this WBBL season look very different.

In terms of most wickets, it was a tie at the top between Alana King and Sam Bates, with both taking 20 wickets. Third on the list was Jess Jonassen, who took 17 wickets, followed by Molineux and Ash Gardner, who both took 16 wickets for the year.

Moving along to the economy rate table, and young quick Lucy Hamilton topped the table with an economy rate of just five.

Amy Smith was not too far behind her on 5.24, and neither was fellow young quick Chloe Ainsworth who finished the year with an economy rate of 5.86. Marizanne Kapp (5.93) and Kim Garth (6.19) round out the top five.
