IT was a tough week to pick just 11 players for our Rookie Me Central Victoria Premier Women’s 1sts Team of the Week for Round 5. Carlton had the most representatives in the team with three, while Plenty Valley and Box Hill had two – the latter also provided our captain.

1. Anna Lanning (Box Hill) (Captain)

Lanning’s 106 ensured Box Hill were able to make light work of Plenty Valley’s total and reach the target with plenty of overs to spare.

2. Sophie Reid (Carlton)

Although she only made 40, it ensured Carlton got off to a good start against Dandenong, despite the innings then eventually falling apart.

3. Nipuni Hansika (Carlton)

Although she only made 47, she was a steadying force in the middle part of Carlton’s innings against Dandenong and was able to stay in as others fell around her.

4. Tayla Vlaeminck (Plenty Valley)

Vlaeminck made 57 to help Plenty Valley attempt to put a decent score on the board, but were ultimately comfortably beaten by Box Hill.

5. Jasmine Nevins (Plenty Valley)

Nevins made 54 to also help Plenty Valley attempt to put a decent score on the board, but were ultimately comfortably beaten by Box Hill.

6. Teagan Parker (Melbourne) (Wicketkeeper)

Parker was the pick of the keepers across the competition last weekend, with a catch and a stumping to her name as Melbourne beat Prahran.

7. Hailey Ferris (Ringwood)

Ferris was absolutely on fire with the ball at Russell Lucas Oval, taking six wickets and keeping her side in the match.

8. Isabel White (Box Hill)

White kept her good early season form going, nabbing five wickets as Box Hill easily accounted for Plenty Valley.

9. Sam Bates (EMP)

Bates was exceptional with the ball for the Bombers, taking 4/13 off her 7.5 overs.

10. Cailin Green (Carlton)

Green was the top wicket taker for Carlton, and her three wickets went a long way to ensuring Dandenong ultimately fell short of the Blue’s target.

11. Chelsea Moscript (Dandenong)

Moscript nabbed three wickets as Dandenong ultimately fell agonisingly short of Carlton’s target.
