Stats Central: 2025 Women’s Under 19 World Cup

LAST weekend saw the second ever Women’s Under 19 World Cup finish up, with India emerging champions once again.

Now that the tournament is over, it is time to take a look at the final statistics and recognise the best individual efforts of the tournament.

Batting

Unsurprisngly, Indians dominated the batting stats.

Player of both the final and the tournament Trisha Gongadi led the way for the now back-to-back champions, scoring the most runs (309) and finishing with the highest score in one innings (110 not out). She also finished with the second highest average of the entire tournament (77.25), only beaten by teammate Sanika Chalke.

Among those to get amongst the runs was England’s Davina Perrin (176 runs), Trisha’s teammate Kamalini G (143 runs), Aussie Caoimhe Bray (119 runs) and South African Jemma Botha (105 runs).

Bowling

The Indians also dominated the top wicket taking list.

Top of said list was Vaishnavi Sharma, who finished the tournament with 17 wickets, and also did not play in India’s first match of the tournament.

She finished three wickets ahead of team mate Aayushi Shukla, while another team mate Parunika Sisodia finished with 10 wickets, which was good enough for fourth.

Third place on the list with 11 wickets was South African Kayla Reyneke, who really shone for the South Africans. Aussie Hasrat Gill rounded our the top five, also having 10 wickets but had a slightly worse economy rate than Sisodia.
