2023/24 Roses and Future Roses program revealed

ENGLAND Netball has announced the 24 athletes who will be in the Roses program for 2023/24, with a few new faces among the group.

All up, 19 members of the Senior Roses program play in England in the Super League, while two play in the ANZ Premiership in New Zealand and three play in the Suncorp Super Netball in Australia.

Halimat Adio returns to the Roses program for the first time since 2021/22, while 2022/23 program debutants Amy Carter, Chelsea Pitman and Elle McDonald are all back. George Fisher is also back in the program after taking a break from international competition temporarily.

There are also several new faces in the program.

One of those is West Coast Fever shooter Sasha Glasgow, who has made herself available to the English program and been rewarded for it.

Berri Neil, Jayda Pechova, Alicia Scholes and Emma Thacker have also all been elevated from the Future Roses program to the senior Roses program.

Speaking of the Future Roses, the 2023/24 Future Roses squad has also been revealed, with a squad of 17 named. Among the group of are six athletes that have been elevated from the Roses Academy and seven athletes who are eligible for the Netball Youth World Cup in two years time.

Among the players who are not in the Roses program for 2023/24 are Jade Clarke, who is off to Cape Town for the World Cup but has not been selected for the next Roses program; Zara Everitt, who has stepped away to focus on her legal career; and Beth Cobden, who has chosen to step away from the full time programme.
