THE 2022 Netball Quad Series gets underway this weekend, with Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa all set to battle it out in Cape Town for the title.

Each team will play each other once, before a Bronze and Gold Medal match to determine final placings.

Last year’s Quad Series saw Australia ultimately come out on top, defeating England in the final. New Zealand finished third and South Africa fourth.

This Quad Series comes at the beginning of another huge year of netball for all four sides.

This series is will start the preparation for most of these sides for the upcoming World Cup so not only is good tournament style warm up for the teams but also venue warm up as the World Cup is also in Cape Town in the middle of the year.

One factor in this series that will be fascinating to watch is the differing amounts of time for each country since the last series they played, and how that affects things such as match fitness.

Each country will also no doubt be trying out a number of different combinations across the different areas of court, with one eye on the upcoming World Cup and what the perfect squad for that tournament is for each country.

Australia will come into the series as favourites, but cannot afford to rest on its laurels as the other three countries will come at it hard.

The 2023 Quad Series gets underway Sunday morning Australian time, and Australian fans can watch the series via Foxtel and Kayo.
