The young gun has plenty to offer with her impressive ability to read the flight of the ball and shut down players. Garrett has plenty of development still in her but has proven that she has the skillset to match it with the best of them. With a number of experienced Magpies out, namely April Brandley in Garrett's case, the 21-year-old will be looking to secure one of the defensive goal circle positions alongside Geva Mentor.

Garrett is a ball winner with her ability to cover the court with ease and pick off passes. Never really out of the contest the talented defender has plenty of promise about her with her hands over pressure and lean over the shot putting doubt in the goalers minds. She can play both goal defence and goal keeper such is her read of the play and versatility making her an integral member in the Pies line-up this season. Her quick footwork allows her to manoeuvre around the body of her opponent and create timely tips and turnovers.
