THIS weekend sees the running of the first ever Netball Super Cup, the Netball Super League’s answer to the Team Girls Cup in Australia.

Across one massive day this Saturday up in Sheffield, all the Super League clubs will be in action in a massive day of preseason action ahead of Round One the following weekend.

Here is all the info you need to know ahead of the day.

Format

The eight teams have been split into two groups of four, and will play each team in a round robin format before the top two in each group progress to a finals series.

Each game will be two halves that are seven minutes long each, with a one minute half time. The Super Shot period will run for the last three minutes of each half.

Extra time will only run in the semi finals and the final.

In the group stage, each team will get three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a loss.
