ROUND 2 of the NSL NXT Gen League saw margins bigger than what we saw on opening weekend as three teams started to pull away at the top of the table.
ROUND 2 RESULTS
Manchester Thunder vs London Mavericks
After a first round bye the London Mavericks had a less than ideal debut in the Nxt Gen League, going down to the Manchester Thunder 45 goals to 36.
London Pulse vs Birmingham Panthers
Much like the Thunder, the Pulse are also still undefeated to start 2025 after a 64 goal to 46 win over the Panthers.
The Pulse were already 10 goals up at the main break, but extended their lead even further in the second half to run away with the win.
Team Bath vs Cardiff Dragons
Team Bath is the third team to remain undefeated after two rounds, after they defeated the Cardiff Dragons 52 goals to 44.
Cardiff actually held the lead for most of the match, but Bath came from a two goal three quarter time deficit to come back and take the win.
Leeds Rhinos vs Loughborough Lightning
Loughborough Lightning bounced back from last week’s loss with a comfortable 59 goal to 44 win over the Leeds Rhinos.
The Lightning were already 14 goals up at the major break, but did not take their foot off the gas in the second half, maintaining their margin to the end.
