Constellation Cup confirmed for 2023

IT has been announced today that the Constellation Cup is back on the calendar in 2023, after last being contested in 2022.

The four match series will take place in October and will again be split evenly in terms of hosting between the two countries.

Unlike the 2022 series, the 2023 edition will start in Australia in Melbourne and Brisbane before heading across the ditch to Auckland and Invercargill.

Confirmation of this series ensures there will be more international level netball for fans to enjoy post the World Cup in the middle of this year.

In the 2022 series, the Silver Ferns won the first two tests on home soil, before the Aussie Diamonds fought back in the last two tests to claim the series on goal difference.

General public tickets for the series go on sale on Tuesday 11 July at 12pm AEST, while fans in Australia can watch the whole series on Fox Sports and Kayo Freebies.

Australian Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich was excited about the upcoming series.

“We love playing in Australia in front of a home crowd,” Marinkovich said.

“We hope to see sell out stadiums in Melbourne and Brisbane when we host the Silver Ferns in what is known as one of the greatest rivalries in elite sport.”
