Diamonds Quad Series Squad Revealed

THE Australian Diamonds have announced their squad that will contest the 2023 Quad Series in Cape Town, South Africa.

The 14 player squad is largely the same as the one that faced England in October/November, but there are a few changes.

Ash Brazill is back in the squad, after choosing to not contest the England Series or the Constellation Cup.

Among those who played either the England or New Zealand series’ that will not be heading to Cape Town next month though are Donnell Wallam, Amy Parmenter and Maddy Proud.

Gretel Bueta opted not to put her hand up for selection for this series, but remains part of the 2022/23 Diamonds squad.

Speaking about the squad, Diamonds coach Stacey Marinkovich alluded to the importance of the series in the team’s preparations for the 2023 World Cup, which is also to set to take place in Cape Town.

“The Netball Quad Series is key for our build up to the 2023 Netball World Cup, to be played in Cape Town,” Marinkovich said.

“Our focus for the series will be improving connections and the standard of performance, while gaining a better understanding of our opposition.”

The Australians will take on South Africa, England and New Zealand in the 2023 Quad Series from January 22-26, 2023.
