THE INTERNATIONAL netball season express just keeps rolling on, with New Zealand announcing its squad for the upcoming Constellation Cup series against Australia.
The biggest change from the squad that lost the Taini Jamison Trophy to England is the return of Phoenix Karaka, who had to drop out of the previous tournament due to illness.
However, Erena Mikaere, who was the one to replace Karaka in the Taini Jamison Trophy squad, has kept her place for the Constellation Cup.
Instead, Whitney Souness is the omitted player as she drops back to the New Zealand A side that will train with the Constellation Cup squad and play training matches against both the Constellation Cup Squad and the New Zealand Men’s team.
The only other potential change is Parris Mason who is currently under a bit of an injury cloud heading into this series, but is still in the lineup.
The 2024 Constellation Cup begins this coming Sunday in the New Zealand capital Wellington, before moving onto Auckland for game two and then jumping the Tasman and heading to Perth and Melbourne for games three and four of the series.
