While the loss of Silver Ferns’ shooter, Bailey Mes might have been a blow for the Mystics chances in the 2020 ANZ Premiership season, they get a chance to see a future talent in action with Grapes called up to the squad. The recently-turned 19-year-old was a training partner who has now earned a place as a full-time contracted player following Mes’ injury. Having already tasted action early in 2020 stepping up in the Round 1 match, Grapes will likely be a part of the young shooting trio in the front court alongside Grace Nweke and Saviour Tui.
