When it comes to impressive developing talents in the England Roses camp, there is no doubt midcourter Imogen Allison comes to mind with the defensive-minded player able to run her opposition off their feet and consistently provide that niggly defensive option through the centre. With quick feet, great agility and exceptional timing, Allison is able to provide both a body-on-body defensive threat and come off the body with ease to leap for the loose ball and force the turnover. Add in her vision and court coverage, and Allison is a star in the making for an already star-studded Team Bath unit. While still young, Allison has proved she is more than capable of stepping up and leading her side to victory, with her work rate on court showcasing her innate knowledge of both her teammates and opposition to create a chain down court and disrupt play. Able to play through both centre and wing defence, Allison provides a versatile option through the midcourt, and has clearly developed well under the tutelage of Roses veteran Serena Guthrie, able to emulate the star centre's attention-grabbing intercepts, but also settle play when required thanks to her strength to hold ground and wait patiently for the positioning to become available.
