There is no denying that Watson is a real barometer for any team she steps on court for whether it be the Silver Ferns or Tactix. She consistently leads from the front with her quick feet in the defensive third to gobble up anything that comes her way. Watson is strong on the rebound, able to claim prime position under the post and block out her opponent. She is a classy ball user able to propel the ball back down the court and provide a back-up option. She can win the ball both in the air and at ground level, able to hunt down the loose ball and create an attacking foray with it. The goal keeper is a real excitement machine, able to generate a heap of ball for her attackers and is hardly ever caught out of position, credit to her quick footwork while her ability to seamlessly get around the body of shooters keeps the feeders guessing.
