A tall timber hailing from Australia, goal shooter Karyn Bailey is a crucial member of the Surrey Storm lineup with her vision, clean hands and accuracy. The 193cm goaler provides an experienced head in the circle, using her footwork and height to ply her trade at the post and positioning well to deny defenders a chance at finding the loose ball. Whilst Bailey is not the most versatile of goalers, what she does well is use her bodywork to block defenders out and create opportunities in and around the circle for her fellow attacker to command control. Surrounded by a flurry of youthful talent at Surrey Storm, Bailey's ball use and calm take on the game are critical to allowing those around her to flourish under pressure, making her a key contributor with her ability to bring her teammates into the game. Boasting a wealth of domestic experience from her time back home in Australia - including a 2014 premiership with the Melbourne Vixens and MVP award the following season - Bailey is quick to adapt and adjust on court, and whilst she uses her height and strength to full advantage, can also create space and manoeuvre her opponent to allow her goal attack to find the ball with ease.
