Exciting Pulse talent Kira Rothwell is one to watch in the Vitality Netball Superleague, with the smooth mover unafraid of the contest or of taking the shot under pressure from defenders. Her ability to glide in and around the circle and evade her opposition is testament to her footwork and great read of the play, able to utilise her vision to provide a hard to stop option in and around the goals. Often playing an assisting role at the post, Rothwell has proven she is more than capable of stepping up to hold ground and be the dominant scorer, using her accuracy and willingness to take on the contest to give 110 per cent on court. Still honing her craft and developing her skills, Rothwell is a real playmaker and is reminiscent of a Helen Housby to post, able to creatively and consistently assert herself on the match at hand. Still only 20-years-old and part of the England Roses pathways program, Rothwell is one to watch in the future with plenty still to prove as her domestic and international careers continue.
