Reilley Batcheldor is a crafty young goaler, typically finding herself in goal attack but more than capable of providing a moving option at the post too with her smooth moving and clean hands. The developing prospect has been snatched off the Firebirds bench for an opportunity with the Lightning in 2022, and with her strengths and ceiling more than outweighing her areas for improvement, the young talent clearly deserves a step up into the big time at Suncorp Super Netball level next season.

Touted as a fearless competitor with a calm and composed head under pressure, Batcheldor adds another accurate and long range element to an already versatile and exciting Lightning attack unit. With clean hands and great accuracy, she will offer an additional presence with her read of the play, smarts and desire to learn as she continues to make her way up the ladder into the elite sport. Batcheldor's speed and adaptability make her a handy addition to the fray with her ability to take the game on an added bonus, with a clear understanding of what is needed of her to not only become the best player she can be, but also use that to the team's benefit.

Already boasting an impressive skillset with plenty of potential, Batcheldor is among a group of developing attacking prospects and has shown no signs of slowing down her own development. Able to apply offensive pressure both on the move and as an aerial threat, there is no doubt the young goaler will thrive under the tutelage of Steph Wood and Cara Koenen in 2022, further honing her craft and looking to go another step further.
