SSN Stats Leaders – Round 8 2022

THE 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season is heading into its second half, so let us take another look at who the stats leaders are at the moment.

Shooting

Goals

As she has all season, it is still Jhaniele Fowler who leads the way in terms of most goals scored.

She has been so dominant this year that she is currently 94 goals clear of the second placed Shimona Nelson.

Rounding out the rest of the top five is Donnell Wallam, Mwai Kumwenda and Jo Harten.

Goal Attempts

Moving across to the goal attempts, and it is almost the same top five, just one different.

Fowler is still on top, Wallam is second, Nelson is third and Kumwenda is fourth.

The only new addition to the list is Helen Housby, who replaces cross town rival Harten in fifth.

Super Shots

It is Housby who has shot the most super shots thus far this season, with 37 to her name.

That’s seven more then Sasha Glasgow who is currently in second.

The rest of the top five is Harten, Steph Wood and Sophie Dwyer.

Goal Assists

When it comes to Goal Assists, it’s the very Swift Maddy Proud who leads the way in the league.

She leads the way from Magpie Kelsey Browne, who’s 22 assists behind.

The rest of the top five is Liz Watson, Lara Dunkley and Glasgow.

Defence

Deflections

As she has for weeks now, it is still Courtney Bruce who leads the deflections tally, and by some margin too. She is currently 11 deflections ahead of the second place on the tally, which is Swift Sarah Klau.

The rest of the top five is Thunderbird Shamera Sterling, Firebird Ruby Bakewell-Doran and Klau’s team mate Maddy Turner.

Intercepts

Much like Bruce, it’s no surprise Sterling is still leading the intercept tally, and by some margin. She is 15 ahead of Bruce in second, who’s followed by Klau, Bakewell-Doran and Jo Weston.

Rebounds

When it comes to offensive rebounds, it’s Fowler who leads the way. She has three more then Wallam, who is followed by Kumwenda, Nelson and Housby.

When it comes to defensive rebounds, it’s Sterling and Bruce who lead, followed by Tara Hinchliffe, Matilda McDonell and Eboni Usoro-Brown.
