Tournament favourite Alexander Zverev showed no mercy in his straight sets win over Mikael Ymer, advancing to the final and ending the Swede’s run in the final four. He will now take on sixth seed Alexander Bublik in the final after the Kazakh knocked off fifth seed Filip Krajinovic, 6-4 6-2.

CORDOBA OPEN:

It was a disappointing day for the home nation hopes at the Cordoba Open when both top seed Diego Schwartzman and wildcard Juan Ignacio Londero bowed out. They lost to Chilean qualifier Alejandro Tabilo and sixth seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the two tight straight sets results.

TATA OPEN MAHARASHTRA:

World number 87, Finnish young gun Emil Ruusuvuori is gunning for his maiden ATP Tour title after defeating Polish talent Kamil Majchrzak. He won in a tight two-set match 6-3 7-6 and now will take on Portugal’s Joao Sousa in the final. Sousa fought back from a set down against Swedish qualifier Elias Ymer to win 5-7 7-6 7-5 to book a spot in the decider and go for his fourth title. It also marked that both Ymer brothers fell on the same day.

Joao Sousa (POR) defeated [Q] Elias Ymer (SWE) 5-7 7-6 7-5
