Montpellier, France | ATP 250 | Hard

It was a day for the qualifiers in Montpellier, with three qualifiers earning wins over higher ranked opponents. Damir Dzumhur, Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Gilles Simon all manoeuvred first round matches, with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga joining the latter two as Frenchmen through to the second round. Also through were Soonwoo Kwon and Mikael Ymer who toppled French duo Hugo Gaston and Corentin Moutet respectively.

Cordoba, Argentina | ATP 250 | Clay

It was a big day for the Spanish and Argentinians at Cordoba, with six of the eight winners coming from those two nations. The two seeds on court had a mixed bag with sixth seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas advancing and fifth seed Federico Delbonis bowing out. Sebastian Baez also caused an upset over Fernando Verdasco, whilst lucky loser Daniel Elahi Galan made the most of his second chance as a lucky loser to knock off Hugo Dellien.

Pune, India | ATP 250 | Clay

Both seeds on court triumphed in Pune, with sixth seed Finnish young gun Emil Ruusuvuori enjoying a strong win over Egor Gerasimov, whilst eighth seed Stefano Travaglia won in three sets over home nation wildcard Ramkumar Ramanathan. Australian Aleksandar Vukic advanced to the next round, with qualifiers Elias Ymer and Vit Kopriva also among the Round of 32 winners yesterday.
