ATP & WTA Tour Scores: February 12, 2022

ATP TOUR

ABN AMRO WORLD TENNIS TOURNAMENT:

Rotterdam, Netherlands | ATP 500 | Hard

After surviving a scare from giant-killing Czech qualifier Jiri Lehecka, top seed Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas booked his pot in the Rotterdam ATP 500 final. Tsitsipas came back from a set down against Lehecka to win 4-6 6-4 6-2 and advance through to the World Tennis Tournament decider. Now the number one seed takes on third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime, who also came back from a set down, defeating Russian second seed Andrey Rublev to avoid a top two seeded final.

DALLAS OPEN:

Dallas, United States | ATP 250 | Hard

The two highest ranked players have reached the Dallas Open final, with second seed Reilly Opelka and fourth seed Jenson Brooksby surviving their quarter finals. The United States duo got the better of their compatriots, with Opelka serving 39 aces in a 7-6 7-6 win over fellow giant server John Isner, including a second set tiebreaker that went a whopping 46 points. Meanwhile Brooksby toppled seventh seed Marcos Giron in a match that also featured a couple of tight tiebreakers, winning 6-4 6-7 7-6, including a 7-5 deciding set tiebreaker.

ARGENTINA OPEN:

Buenos Aires | ATP 250 | Clay

A top two seeded battle is set for the decided in Buenos Aires after second seed Diego Schwartzman did the double on the penultimate day of action. Having to come back from a set down against compatriot and qualifier Francisco Cerundolo, Schwartzman won in three sets to advance to the semi-finals, where he then knocked off third seed Lorenzo Sonego in an equally-tense match. Meanwhile top seed Casper Ruud took care of the other remaining Argentinian Federico Delbonis, making it through to the final without dropping a set thus far.

QUARTER FINALS:

WTA TOUR

ST PETERSBURG LADIES TROPHY:

St Petersburg, Russia | WTA 500 | Hard

There is also a top two battle in the St Petersburg WTA Tour 500 final after Maria Sakkari and Anett Kontaveit both won their respective matches. Sakkari had to fight tooth and nail against Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, with the Greek first seed winning in three sets, 6-4 6-7 6-4. In the other semi-final, Estonian Kontaveit won through to the decided with a 6-3 6-4 triumph over seventh seed Latvian and former Top 10 player, Jelena Ostapenko.
