EXTENDED RULES:

1) Promotion

1. All fantasy tennis results will be run through Tennis Draft Central and posted on a daily basis, as well as promoted through our socials on Facebook and Twitter. 2. At the start of each week the tournament brackets will be posted on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, with the final tournament brackets and fantasy tennis leaderboards posted once the full week of tennis completed. 3. The calendar of events will be posted on a separate page to keep track of which events are running in a week and which events are upcoming. 4. Entry to fantasy tennis is totally free, and you can join at any time throughout the season. There will be weekly leaderboards, monthly leaderboards and annual leaderboards with both the total team score and average team scores.

2) Team Selection and involvement

1. A participant must select four ATP Tour players – valued at a total of 100 points (values on below left) – and FOUR WTA Tour players – valued at a total of 100 points (values on below right) 2. Each team when selected must not be valued at MORE than 100 points for EACH of the ATP Tour and WTA Tour. 3. At the end of a given month of matches, these values will be updated depending on how the players have performed in the previous month’s fantasy tennis tournaments. This can increase or decrease the value of your team. 4. For those participants wishing to be hands-on involved, you are able to trade in and trade out players at the end of each tennis week. Each trade must be submitted via sophie.t@adzeemedia.com or social media with the title ‘Fantasy Tennis Trade’. When trading, your team’s value must remain at the previous value or no more than 100 points. 5. The one exception to the 100 points value is if a player or players have gained value and therefore taken your team’s value above 100 points. In that scenario, you have the value of the team from which to trade with until the value potentially changes a month later. 6. For those who are looking to ‘set and forget’, you can pick a team once and then leave it for a month, two months, six months or the entire year. It is totally up to the individual. 7. If you would like to take your chances with a randomly selected team, just message us saying you would like to play with a random team and we will assign players for you up to the 100-point value.

3) Points and scoring

1. The way teams accrue points on a weekly basis is based on their EIGHT players performances. In the same way that the ATP and WTA Tours work, players have to defend points from the previous year, and if they do not, they end up with a negative score. If they do defend to the exact level, they do not gain or lose points, while if they exceed their points from the previous year, then they end up with a positive score. 2. This can be confusing to a lot of people, but put simply, if Novak Djokovic won Wimbledon last year, he has to win Wimbledon in this fantasy tennis to break even. If he does not, he ends up losing points, with how close he gets to matching the previous year dependent on how many points he loses. 3. This is where the tactics of picking players who might not have high points to defend, whether through injury or are yet to breakout might be a consideration, though the top players – and highest points values – are more likely to go deeper in tournaments. The strategy of picking teams is totally up to the individual. 4. The leaderboards posted each week will include the weekly average score (total of eight players divided by eight), and year-to-date total and average scores. These scores will be updated each week once multiple tournaments have been completed.

4) Calendar and Tournament entries

1. You don’t have to enter your players in any tournament, the draws are automatically made up based on last year and realistic entries. Preference for the non-automatic entries will be given to players who are in teams. 2. If there is a particular tournament you want your players to enter when it comes up, then by all means let us know at least TWO WEEKS in advance so we can plan for it. 3. The seasons will run until just before Christmas, at which point there is hope tennis might be on the horizon at the start of 2021.
