The baddest man on the planet, two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic has heavy hands and an often-overlooked wrestling game to boot. His most recent redemptive win came against Daniel Cormier in August of 2019, returning the favour in knocking out the former double-champ to reclaim the Heavyweight strap. A loss to perennial contender Junior dos Santos in 2014 sparked an incredible run of TKO/KO victories for the now-champion, finishing Mark Hunt and Andrei Arlovski on his way to earning UFC gold from Fabricio Werdum, and continuing the streak against Alistair Overeem and in the dos Santos rematch. A Division I collegiate wrestler, Miocic then reminded us of his grappling pedigree in his smothering win over Francis Ngannou, but has truly made his mark with serious stand-up power. Miocic’s next bout is unconfirmed at this point, with a Cormier trilogy fight seemingly on the agenda.
