A two-time premiership squad member with the NSW Swifts, Lauren Moore has made the switch to the GIANTS for 2022 and will look to really step up to the plate in a new environment. With plenty of experience behind her now but very little 60 minute opportunities on court with the Swifts' heavy rotation, Moore has not really had the chance to show what she is capable of after building into a game. A former goal keeper who has worked her way up the court to be a consistent threat in wing defence and goal defence, Moore offers a really versatile option to the GIANTS fray. Her reliability and impact should bolster the back-end well with her ability to stay away from the whistle, and she has big potential to wreak havoc no matter which position she lands in.
Standing at 184cm, Moore is a good size to play a couple of different roles, able to body up on her opponents and apply strong pressure over the shot, while also able to use her excellent aerial ability and anticipation of ball placement to go out hunting. Moore is a natural athlete with a great netball brain, using her smarts to adapt seamlessly between a defensive and offensive mindset and adjust quickly to the umpire.
