POSSIBLE DRAFTEES

Western Australia Under-18 captain, Sabreena Duffy appears to be the leading Western Australia candidate. Duffy plays primarily in defence but can go into the midfield if needed. She is a great kick of the football and has a high football IQ, and her combination of those traits has earned her multiple All-Australian jumpers. Sonia Dorizzi is another player that could come into Fremantle’s side to provide some support for Alicia Janz. Dorizzi was Western Australia’s leading ruck in the AFL Women’s Under 18 Championships and has an agile leap. Matilda Sergeant, a similar player to Duffy, could also suit up for the Dockers. Sergeant has clean hands and is a strong footballer that can have a big impact on the game. The Dockers will be sad to hear the news of leading prospect, McKenzie Dowrick nominating to go to Queensland in the AFL Women’s Draft. Dowrick is an AFL Women’s Academy member and has been in the AFL Women’s Under 18 All Australian side for two consecutive years, so she will be a big loss for the state of Western Australia.
