AFLW Head to Head: Ash Woodland vs Jacqui Parry

IN OUR new series, we take a look at a potentially exciting AFL Women’s head-to-head set to take place over the weekend, and how the match-up may transpire on game day.

Note: The match-up of course subject to the selection of both players in their respective sides.

This week’s pairing are two key forwards set to battle it out at either end of Unley Oval tonight who after some hiccups along the way have really got their careers going – Adelaide’s Ash Woodland and Geelong’s Jacqui Parry.

If we look more broadly over the length of both players’ careers, the stats tell a very similar story.

When it comes to just about everything in the process before taking the shot at goal (except her tackle count), it is Parry who leads, but when it comes to tackles and actually kicking the score, it is Woodland who leads.

This is perhaps due to the way both forward lines are set up, but the stats do not give a definitive answer either way.
