Coates Talent League Girls prospects set for preseason testing

COATES Talent League Girls prospects are set to be put through their paces on Sunday, as all 12 Victorian regions convene for their annual preseason testing event. Under the guidance of Rookie Me, athletes will participate in three vertical jump tests, a 20m sprint, agility test, and yo-yo test.

Clubs will each bring up to 35 players to partake in the day-long event at Narrandjeri Stadium in Thornbury, which looms as a chance for all youngsters to showcase the hard work they have undergone during preseason.

The day also presents an opportunity for AFL Women’s club recruiters to meet the prospects they will closely analyse throughout the year and beyond. Rookie Me Central will chat to over 50 players from across the regions, too, with plenty of content to follow.

After the girls are put to the test, Coates Talent League Boys athletes will have their own preseason testing day on Saturday March 11 at Maribyrnong College. Players from other states have also undergone identical tests ahead of their respective seasons.

>> RESULTS: Giants Academy | Lions Academy | Suns Academy | Swans Academy | South Australia
