2023 Talent League Girls Player Of The Week: Round 4

WALL-TO-WALL Eastern Ranges success across the board this season, with the club picking up two from two in our Talent League Girls Player of the Week nominations. Having only played the two matches, the Ranges went undefeated in both the Talent League, and our Player of the Week stakes, with goalsneak Alyssia Pisano earning the Round 4 nod.

The outstanding goalsneak who looms as one of, if not the standout Victorian prospect in 2023, was unstoppable as she booted six goals in the Ranges’ 26-point win over the Northern Knights. Eastern was coming off a strong victory over Dandenong Stingrays the week before, where Laura Stone was named Player of the Week, but this time it was Pisano who earned the nomination following an incredible 6.3 from 15 disposals, five marks and six tackles.

Pisano and Stone make it back-to-back Ranges in the Player of the Week stakes, and also a three-peat of top-agers after Sydney Swans Academy’s Olivia Morris in Round 2. In just two matches, Pisano has already booted 10 goals and raced to second on the goalkicking table behind GWV Rebels’ Lily Jordan (11), though has played two less matches.
