CALDER Cannons teammates Mahmoud Taha and Hugo Garcia were put to the test and dish the dirt on their teammates as part of our ‘Loose Cannons’ segment. The State Combine invitees were asked questions ranging from who rates themselves the most, and who is likely to spend more time off the field getting ready.
Of the nine questions put to the pair, three resulted in unanimous choices. Maison Goodman was picked by both players as the coaches pet, with Charles Bolmat nominated as the player most likely to play on from a kick-in, and Isaac Kako as the Cannon who spends the most time reading Rookie Me Central.
The trio all featured in multiple answers as well, with Bolmat also Garcia’s choice as the player to burn him most on-field. Garcia chose Goodman as the one who likes the look of his on-field highlights. Kako was a popular choice for Taha, who said the bottom-ager was both most likely to pick himself as number one in the AFL Draft, as well as spend the most time looking at himself in the mirror.
Perhaps the most telling question was ‘who is the player that looks at their stats the most?’ with Taha and Garcia answering each other. Other players to feature in ‘Loose Cannons’ included Noah Scott, Ryan Eyre, Kade Mueller and Amin Naim.
