AFL/W Draft coverage to ramp up from next week

JUST one match remains in the Coates Talent League grades and grand finals take place in the SANFL and WAFL competitions, which means the close of all state leagues across the country. The AFL Women’s runs until December, but with clubs now focusing on the off-season – including a predicted quick turnaround for the women’s – Rookie Me Central will ramp up its draft coverage.

Starting next week and running right up until the AFL Draft, there will be stacks of related content. Each National Draft Combine invitee will have a full draft profile completed, with the State Draft Combine invitees receiving pocket profiles.

In addition to the draft profiles, there will be player highlights and analysis via not just the website, but our Instagram and YouTube channels. Keep an eye out for special vision and detailed discussion of draft prospects across the months of October and November.

Naturally, the September Power Rankings will take place on Monday, with the last edition coming after the Draft Combines at the end of October. The annual Phantom Draft will take place just days out from the AFL National Draft.

In the women’s space, Rookie Me Central will provide equal coverage, with every Draft Combine invitee receiving a full draft profile leading up to the AFLW Draft. This means all 83 players who were invited will have a detailed profile equivalent to their male counterparts.

Additionally, there will be player highlights and analysis, and of course the remaining two Power Rankings on the first Monday of each month. Furthermore, interviews with draft prospects from both the AFL and AFLW Draft space will feature on the site, so stay tuned for that.

Lastly, Rookie Me Central’s annual AFL Draft Guide and AFLW Draft Guide will be available closer to the draft. Containing all the profiles of Draft Combine invitees and a stack of other content, it will be a couple of documents not to be missed. The AFL Draft Guide will be available at the start of November, with the AFLW Draft Guide released in late November.

For now, make sure you’re regularly checking Rookie Me Central, as we’ll have a player hub for all our completed draft profiles going up soon. Also be following us on Instagram and YouTube where our content will ramp up.
