Leading Goalkicker

Just like the finalists, the battle for the Rohenna Young Medal has come down to the final round too.

The current leaders are Darebin’s Monique DeMatteo and Williamstown’s Sharnie Whiting, who have both kicked 21 goals this season. Neither forward could kick a goal last week, so it really depends on their efforts this week as to who takes out the medal.

In saying that, there are a couple of players that have the potential to catch them.

North’s Nyakoat Dojiok has kicked 19 goals so far this season, while it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Box Hill’s Tamara Luke to also catch them, she would have to have an absolutely monstrous game to catch them from her current tally of 17.
