The Sturt prospect is renowned for his line-breaking ability and displayed his strengths on-field with the state Under 18 side last year. Barker played three games for the Croweaters as a bottom-ager, featuring along the wing and half-back flank. He plays in the mould of Blake Acres and Miles Bergman.

Having returned an outstanding preseason with the state program, North Adelaide midfielder Sam Cumming showed his wares with an equal-10th finish in the running vertical jump (89cm). Norwood pair Fergus Myall and Bayln O’Brien also featured within the top 10 of the jumps, and are in the state squad.
