PREVIEW | 2025 WAFLW – Round 13: Friday

SOUTH Fremantle is still hunting West Perth’s fourth spot on the WAFL Women’s ladder following a victory over Subiaco in Round 12. The Bulldogs have time on their side but simply must win against last placed East Perth, having suffered a shock loss to Perth a fortnight ago.

FORM

East Perth is still searching for its second win of the season as the Royals hope to avoid the wooden spoon in 2025. They face a tough encounter against a confident South Fremantle side straight off a win over the previously unbeaten Subiaco. The Bulldogs have been inconsistent this season though, going down to Perth just a week earlier so it will depend which South Fremantle outfit comes to play.

TEAMS

CHANGES

South Fremantle has made just the two changes to its successful side over Subiaco, bringing in Pippa Sideris and Shaya Yarran as Alira Fotu (Western Australia Under 18s) and Sophie Rodger (omitted) make way. East Perth has also been forced to make two changes, losing Brianna Hyde and Kahra Sprylan, but have regained Emily Boothman and called up Mia Pappas for the big clash.

PREDICTION

South Fremantle should be buoyed by the win over the Lions in Round 12, and while still missing quality players, have enough talent across the park. Expect it to be a tough encounter but the Bulldogs should come away with the points.
