2025 AFLW Trade wrap: Day 6
IT WAS quite on the trade front across Day 6 as just two official deals were made ahead of a massive deadline day. While just two players moved clubs, there were other delisted free agent signings as well as a number of Irish talents recruited onto various lists.

Cats gain experience as Saints move up next year
Geelong receives: Nicola Stevens and 2025 third-rounder (St Kilda)
St Kilda receives: 2026 second-rounder (Geelong)
Geelong has added further experience to its 2026 lineup with valuable utility Stevens joining the Cattery. A pick upgrade from the third to second round is all it required, with the Saints able to add yet another selection inside the likely top 30 in the 2026 AFLW Draft.
West Coast receives: Keeley Skepper and 2026 fourth-rounder (Carlton)
Carlton receives: Pick 66 and 2026 fifth-rounder (West Coast)
West Coast has practically stolen Skepper who was told to explore options by the Blues, joining alongside a draft pick that is likely in the 60s, for a similar pick and one even later. The Blues essentially just cleared up some list space, and were able to facilitate a smooth deal in the process as they look to focus on other trades on deadline day.
Other AFLW trade news
Geelong got busy adding extra experience to its list by bringing on delisted Port Adelaide duo Jasmin Stewart and Alissa Brook. Stewart adds further midfield depth to the Cats, while Brook is a young, athletic tall defender who will fill a need at Kardinia Park.
The news comes after Collingwood picked up ex-Blue and former Pies VFLW defender-wing Charlotte Brewer. The Magpies added the Oakleigh Chargers premiership player to the list alongside another Irish talent in 19-year-old Gaelic footballer Ellie Brady.
Brady is not the only Irish addition to the AFLW with the Cats also bringing on 27-year-old Emma Murray who is touted to play wing and half-back. Melbourne added to its Irish stocks with the explosive Aoife Horisk – who recorded the fastest 20m sprint time at the Draft Combine – while Fremantle secured Aoife Healy, a 21-year-old 179cm utility.
