TOP 5s | 2026 West Australian Boys Preseason Testing
WESTERN Australia’s speedsters showed out at the recent preseason testing combine, with state squad member Finlay Yeo setting a new AFL agility test record. The East Fremantle and Dockers Next Generation Academy (NGA) member stopped the clock at 7.642 seconds to break new ground ahead of his top-age season.

Yeo was among the several state 18s prospects to shine in Perth. West Perth bottom-ager Campbell Creyk set the fastest 20m sprint time with an effort of 2.864 seconds, while fellow 2009-born stars Rafe Williamson and Hunter Hearn joined Yeo on the podium of the agility test scores at under eight seconds.
Elsewhere, Swan Districts midfielder Leo Steed was among the five players to end the yo-yo test at level 21.2. That event was taken out by Subiaco’s Samuel O’Brien. West Perth over-ager Banjo Fitch excelled with top-five results across three different tests, including dual podium finishes to be the day’s standout athlete.
Adrian Carles was another prospect to fare well across multiple tests, featuring in the top fives for both the standing and running vertical jumps. Brady Hicks topped the standing leaps at 81cm, while Kiedis Solberg soared 91cm to record the best running jump. He stood alone ahead of four players to reach 90cm.
