Positional Analysis
Seaborn is a name who caught the eye through the AFLW Under 16 Championships last season where she dominated playin as a midfielder in what was her second carnival at the level. An All-Australian and clear standout for the Sandgropers, Seaborn cracked in for her League debut with the Tigers playing forward, and booted 11 goals in 10 games. Unfortunately she made way at the end of the regular season, and instead played through the Rogers Cup finals campaign where Claremont went down to West Perth in the decider.
2025 Stats
WAFLW | 6.3 disposals | 2.1 marks | 1.9 tackles | 0.5 inside 50s | 11 goals (10 games)
AFLW U16s | 18.5 disposals | 2.5 marks | 7.0 tackles | 4.5 clearances | 3.5 inside 50s (2 games)
Key Strengths
Seaborn boasts a lot of enticing traits for future AFLW clubs, with her 175cm size a clear tick, but she is athletic for a tall and has untapped potential. Not too dissimilar to Ella Roberts at the same age – a scary thought – Seaborn is one of those players who could genuinely become anything. She showed her ability to hit the scoreboard at League level, booting four goals in debut against Perth, and having two other games of multiple majors.
2026
Looking to 2026 and Seaborn will likely play forward again, but become a lock in the Tigers’ lineup. She could see some midfield time as well, with the natural ball-winner able to get around the ground and have an impact too. She has great hands, a big frame and is not afraid to go head-to-head with more experienced opponents and could be in for a real breakout second season.
Seaborn is a name to remember for next year and with a big year can take her game to another level. Playing in such a strong team like the Tigers, she has plenty of experience and guidance around her, so she can come along in leaps and bounds.
Summary
Seaborn is one of the top prospects from Western Australia in next year’s AFLW Draft and will undoubtedly impress for the Tigers and likely Sandgropers this year. A player who simply has a crack, she can do some highlight-worthy things and it will be exciting to see her grow throughout her bottom-age season.
