PROFILE:

Jemma Reynolds showed plenty of promise playing as a forward who pinch-hit in the midfield last season, then stepped up to produce an outstanding top-age campaign both for Dandenong Stingrays and Vic Country. Winning the Rookie Me Central Medal as well as Team of the Year honours and Stingrays' best and fairest award, Reynolds was a ray of consistency all season.

The midfielder averaged 23.4 disposals and 3.4 clearances throughout the Talent League, winning 45 per cent of her possessions in a contest, and 40 per cent off the ground. That is where Reynolds shines with her clean hands and extraction work inside a stoppage, while being capable of bursting out to kick long down the ground.

Her kicking precision could further improve and Reynolds is a noted strong second possession winner while developing her first possession-winning abilities this year, but will look to add further strength to her frame given her smaller size at 163cm. As a whole though, her clean hands, footy IQ and composure inside the contest really stands out and she should be one of the first AFLW State Draft Combine players picked.
