Jemima Wrigley made the move to Williamstown from the Southern Saints over the off-season and it paid dividends with the NSW-ACT native winning Team of the Year honours off half-back. It was a new role for the talented 25-year-old, who had largely proven her wares as a big-bodied midfielder. While not a massive ball-winner, Wrigley maximised her impact out of the Seagulls' back half, really honing in on her kicking precision and becoming a damaging player.

The move to half-back meant the explosive prospect could outline to recruiters her ability to impact in a different role, with the strength-speed combination a valuable commodity at any level. She racked up a stack of intercept possessions and rebounds, clearing the danger time and time again. Though not a known aerialist, Wrigley was often the receiver who either gained the ball from her teammates or mopped up and then executed down the field.

Going forward, Wrigley is an easy choice for a ready made defender-midfielder with traits that adapt to both the back half of the ground, and on-ball. She is in the peak of her powers and can slot straight into any AFLW club's defensive system, having moved around - including states - since she was a junior.
