Fremantle Next Generation Academy prospect Conrad Williams came into his top-age year with a good amount of hype behind him, having impressed in state colours at Under 17 level. He only managed one outing in Western Australia's Under 18 side come 2022, but still managed to impress back in the WAFL Colts competition with Claremont and earned a state combine invitation for his troubles.

Whether it be on a wing or in his more recent half-back role, Williams oozes class. The smooth moving outside runner loves to get creative in possession, side-stepping opponents and taking the game on with both his run and disposal. While he may sell himself into trouble at times, those kinds of assets perfectly suit the role of a productive attacking player who can hurt opposition from the back half.

In terms of improvement areas, Williams' exposure as a top-ager was limited and he remains a relatively low-production type with high impact per possession. If he can iron out some consistency and build the strength necessary to compete against mature bodies, watch out. His ability is hard to deny and clubs clearly value the upside Williams promises. He could be a free shot for the Dockers, should no other clubs cut their lunch.
