- Production

Oliver Dean was pegged as Tasmania's leading draft prospect coming into the year, offering significant upside as a developing key position player. He was the Devils' frontline ruck for much of the season, sharing the duties with bottom-ager Jasper Hay, and at times, over-ager Max Mapley.

Dean was named in the National Academy and represented his country twice against VFL opposition. He has been made to showcase different sides to his game as a top-ager, most often trying his hand up forward where he'll need to improve his aerial presence and ability to hit the scoreboard.

There is also improvement left for Dean to make in terms of physicality. He showed nice signs in patches this season where he'd stand in packs or under high balls and pluck it cleanly overhead. His fundamental skills are quite neat for a player his size, though he can work on being a more consistent and imposing presence throughout four quarters.
