2024 VFLW and VFLM Fixtures Revealed
AFTER being teased with the Round 1 fixtures late last week, the VFLM and VFLW have had their full fixtures released.
The VFLW season will commence on the weekend of March 22 – 24, and will see the same 12 teams as 2023. However, there have been some changes to the fixture.
Unlike in previous years, there will be no byes during the season, with all teams playing on both the Easter and King’s Birthday weekends.
There will also be some new faces temporarily in the competition, with Sydney and GWS playing five games each in the competition between Rounds 3 and 7. These matches will count for premiership points for their opponents.
Sydney will be playing the Bulldogs, Kangaroos, Demons, Hawks and Magpies, while GWS is playing Carlton, Geelong, Port Melbourne, Essendon and the Southern Saints.
The VFLW Grand Final rematch comes in Round 2, and is one of two matches scheduled on Good Friday, with the other being between North Melbourne and Carlton at Arden St Oval.
The finals system has not changed, with finals commencing on the weekend of June 29 – 30, and the Grand Final slated for July 21.
Fans can watch the VFLW matches through the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App. VFLW games are still free, but if they are a part of a VFLW/M double header, entry fees will apply after half time of the VFLW match if played first.
